The Drano Test!!!

We just finished the Drano Test! According to most of the websites if it turns brown instantly, it is a boy. If not, it is a girl. The best way to describe what we saw - it shot up green with a layer of yellowish and a layer of grass green. Tim shot a video. We thought if we posted it, someone may be able to give us advice!!! So..... what do you think?

(Thanks Uncle Tim, Aunt Sharon, Laura, and Hannah for finding the Crystal Drano for us!!!)

Baby is 16 weeks!

Wow... four months have flown by! The baby will be here before we know it and we can't wait. We have SO much to do before baby arrives, but I am sure we will get it all finished. Once we find out the sex, we will be in fast mode to purchase things for the nursery!

I have been feeling MUCH better the last few weeks. I hit a rough patch right before we went to AZ, but am so much better. I was having horrible headaches, but found out the cure is 8 oz. of caffeine. Boy does it work!!! I had not been drinking any caffeine in the beginning, but learned that in the second trimester headaches are very common, due to the increased blood flow. I had read that caffeine would help and Dr. White confirmed. She said one caffeinated beverage a day is absolutely fine!

Tim took a picture of me. We have been getting so many requests from people who don't see me often, so here you go. I feel like I am way too big for four months, but everyone says it is normal for someone my size. I imagine we will have a large baby. I was one ounce lacking 9 lbs. and Tim was nearly 10 lbs. That scares me a little!!! So..... here is the picture. You will notice our other baby is in the picture with me!!!

Doctor's Visit...

Today we had our September check-up with Dr. White. Everything went great! We heard the baby's heartbeat and it was 155! So... does that mean boy or girl? We are taking guesses - so post your guess in the comment section. We will find out October 17th - our next appointment! Personally, I only gained one pound since last month, which Dr. White said was great. I gained one pound last month too - so far so good. I feel like I have gained WAY more than a few pounds. My stomach is HUGE! Tim will take a picture of me and we will post it tomorrow. Check out the picture of Clarion North - where Baby Stover will celebrate his/her Birthday!

Happy 14th week Baby Stover!!!!

Today, September 6th, Baby is 14 weeks! Wow... the time is flying by! Baby is starting to show and making Mommy's pants too tight, but that is okay. Baby celebrated with a Colts win and Daddy tried to teach baby..... "way to go blue"!!! GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(By the way... please don't pay attention how HORRIBLE I look in this picture. We had just arrived back from AZ at 2 AM and I had taken a vacation day. I didn't feel the greatest and therefore had NO make-up on and I don't even think I brushed my hair. I will blame Tim for the picture - he wanted to get a shot with my Manning jersey on in front of the final score!!!)

Back from Scottsdale, AZ........

We are back from our second trip in three months to Scottsdale, AZ. (one of our favorite vacation spots) We think this was actually baby's second trip to Scottsdale. We had a wonderful time and were sad to come home, as always. The weather was perfect... hot, but perfect. The temperature ranged from 105-110 with low humidity. I know everyone talks about it being a dry heat and it truly is SO nice not to have humidity. You can hang out by the pool all day and not sweat. That is pretty much ALL we did.... hang out by one of the 5 pools at the resort and float around and around on the lazy river.

We almost didn't make it. Our flight left on Saturday around noon and when I woke up on Saturday morning I was extremely sick. Throwing up and the whole bit. Tim wanted to cancel, but I started feeling a little better, so we decided to go for it. The entire way to the airport I was sick. In fact, we thought we were going to miss our flight. We got there in just enough time to check-in. The flight was okay, I just had to snack on pretzels and sprite! When we arrived to Arizona I figured we should eat dinner. I decided I could eat Baja Fresh, but I needed Tim to go in and get it, because I didn't think I could take the smell. He brought it to the car and I began eating the chips and chicken soft taco. When we opened the salsa it was garnished with tomatoes and that did it. The interesting thing is that prior to pregnancy, I LOVED tomatoes, but Tim can't stand them. So, I guess baby takes after Daddy. As soon as I saw them, I opened the door to our rental car (Dodge Nitro) and vomited all over the parking lot. It was bad. The good thing is the rest of the vacation was vomit-free! Although we did have to make a stop at Babies R' Us for Preggie Pops. You will notice that we parked in the expectant mothers spot. Tim gets so excited about this, especially now that I am starting to show!

My new craving for the week is lemons. I can't get enough of them. After they are sliced, I eat them like an apple.... YUM YUM. We went to California Pizza Kitchen one night and I asked the waiter for a water with a lot of lemon and he brought me a HUGE bowl of lemons. They were wonderful!!!

We did a little shopping, but not a ton. We went to a few maternity and baby boutiques that were great. Again, we wish we knew the sex, so we could purchase things. I must say, with all of my sour cravings, I am feeling like it is a girl. I have been having problems finding maternity pants, but I was able to find some on this trip! I have always had a problem finding pants anyway, because of my long legs, so I knew it would be difficult to find maternity pants. Thank goodness for Gap Maternity!!!

We really started thinking more about baby names on the trip. We have narrowed it down to a few and as soon as we make the final selections, we will post them. We have found that girl names are hard for us. Boy names seem to be easy. In fact, we think we have it finalized, but who knows, there is still time to change our minds!
I felt great on the trip home. It was a long one, but we made it. We arrived home around 1:30AM. I took an extra vacation day because I knew we would be home late, but poor Tim had to get up and go to work. I felt so bad for him, but neither one of us have adjusted to the 3 hour time difference!!! It was all worth it for 5 days in sunny Arizona!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
