I was so excited to celebrate my 1st Mommy Day! We started celebrating Friday night when Tim, Liam and I went to Indianapolis shopping and for dinner. Our celebrating continued Saturday night when the three of us, along with Grammie and Grandpa took Great Mama Martha out for dinner. We had a great time! We decided we needed to be home early because we planned on going to church Sunday morning. We got home and got everything ready, Grammie ironed Liam's outfit, since I can NOT iron little tiny pleats, and we got to bed hoping for a decent nights sleep. Liam didn't see it that way and he had Mommy and Daddy up several times that night. It didn't matter, we still got up and went to church. I still can't believe we have waited so long to take him to church, but since I have been such a germaphob with him and church is the place with the most germs, we have waited and waited. Liam looked very sharp for his first time in church. He was even announced and we got to stand up so everyone could see him! He did pretty well and only got fussy once. I ended up taking him and sitting in the back of the church to quiet him down and he did fine.
After church, we went to Vera Mae's for lunch with Grammie, Grandpa, GG, and Gpa. This was Liam's first trip to Vera Mae's! I LOVE to go there and since it was my first Mother's Day, I got to choose! We had a wonderful lunch! After lunch, we went to Grandmama and Grandpapa's house to celebrate with them. We ended the day by stopping by Grammie and Grandpa's to exchange gifts.
I had a wonderful first Mother's Day. Thanks so much to Tim and Liam for making it special! Also, thank you to everyone who sent me cards and got me gifts on my 1st Mother's Day! I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by great mom's! I am truly blessed to have a wonderful christian family and wonderful christian in-laws. I am so thankful Tim was raised the same way I was.
I want to thank my Mom for setting such a great example to me on what a wonderful Mother should be. I don't know what I would do without my Mom. I hope and pray that I will be the type of Mother to Liam like my Mom is to me. She provides me so much guidance and has been such a great help to me throughout my life, but especially the last few months! I feel truly blessed to have her in my life! Thanks Mom - I love you!

Grammie cannot wait to teach little Liam piano lessons. Hopefully, Liam will enjoy piano lessons as his Mommy enjoyed them.
Grammie & Grandpa were so happy to be in church with Liam on his first visit to the Lords house. We were so proud when the pastor ask that Mommy & Daddy stand with Liam so everyone could see him Liam was a perfect jewel!
Mother's Day was a perfect day as it was Brooke's first Mother's Day.
Brooke you are the most special Mommy and Liam is a very blessed baby.
Grandpa & Grammie feel in our hearts that Brooke is the best Mommy ever and she always puts Little Liam first in her life.
Brooke, being your Mother was the best thing in the world you made it so easy because you were always a perfect angel.
God has blessed and gave us so much joy with Tim, Brooke, & Liam.
Love Mom & Dad
Grammie & Grandpa
That first mother's day was the most wonderful thing for me! Of course, it followed 10 years of very very said Mother's Days, as I sat and looked at all the other moms in church and wondered when/if it would ever be my turn.
But that first one made up for all the previous ones, and wiped out the bad memories!
You ARE blessed, with an AWESOME mom, and your perfect baby boy!!!
Happy Belated Mother's day! Amy
