(by the way, our beautiful baby is 8 months old today)
McCain/Palin
We had the wonderful opportunity to go to the Sarah Palin Country First Rally in Noblesville, IN at Verizon Wireless on Friday night. Mom, Dad, Liam and I headed down early to secure our seats. First off, tickets were nearly impossible to get, but I managed my way into some and Dad ended up with VIP tickets for all of us! Our seats were great. We were in the pavilion, which was great! Tim barely made it in, but we were thankful that FINALLY he made it - right before Sarah's speech! Liam was a very good baby all day and handled all of it well until the end.
Now for the big stuff...... When Sarah was almost finished with her speech, Tim, Liam, and I headed down towards the stage. We were able to get down right in front, thanks to one of the campaign workers! After we had been standing down there for awhile and right before Sarah came over to us, Liam decided he was starving and wanted to leave, which you will notice in the photos. Liam had a shirt on that said, "My Mom is voting for Trig's Mom". In case you don't know, Trig is Sarah's baby! Sarah spotted Liam in his shirt and said she HAD to see him. She immediately grabbed him, loved him, handed him to her assistant so she could sign his shirt, kissed him and handed him back. We were SO excited! Going back to our seat to meet up with Grammie and Grandpa was a nightmare through the crowd, but we managed. This will truly be something we will always remember and it is great to have these memories for Liam. Obviously the day Liam was born was the best day of my life, and my wedding the second, but this was definitely the third!
Sarah did a great job speaking and even though I loved her before, this completely solidified it for all of us. She is so genuine and is such a "normal' person. I truly hope they pull it off on November 4th.

Because this is MY blog I feel like I can make the following comments:
I am SO scared and have been a nervous wreck about this election. It is almost encompassing my life! For the life of me, I can not understand how someone could vote for Obama. He is nothing but a liar and a hypocrite. I do not understand how people can vote for someone who believes in socialism and likes big government. Why do we want the government controlling our lives? The next thing you know we will be getting rice rations! It is nuts. Obviously I talk to MANY MANY people with regards to health care. I am telling you people, if we go to socialized medicine, we are in BIG trouble. You will be told what medicine you have to be on, what doctor you have to see, when you go to the doctor, and oh by the way - if you cut your finger off and need to go the hospital and the hospital has taken its maximum for the day - you are OUT OF LUCK!!!! Scary - huh!!! I might be being a little radical, but it could happen. Oh and if you don't think the health care thing is a big deal, let me say something about murder, I mean abortion... "that one" has voted numerous times that if an abortion goes wrong and the baby survives, it is okay to go ahead and kill the poor innocent baby! Is this REALLY the person we want leading our country! I don't think so. If I had to vote on one issue alone, it is always abortion. As I sit here and watch my precious blessing sleep, I can't imagine anyone thinking that killing a baby is okay. Our society is so sick! I really could go on and on, but the bottom line is that he can not be trusted. I know that NO politician should be trusted, but there are too many unknowns about Obama. I spent some time at the republican headquarters the other day and it was amazing some of the stories I heard. For instance, they are not completely sure that Obama is even a US citizen. More to come on this in a few weeks! Some of the things would scare people to death. I am certainly not saying that McCain is perfect, but I know for a fact that he is the better choice of the two. There have been many doubts about Palin. However, she is far more qualified than Obama. Obama has never even ran a lemonade stand. I love the ad that says any crisis would be Obama's first crisis. Palin has ran a business, city, and a state. Plus, she has the highest approval rating (80%) than any other person in history!
I hope that we all make the most conservative, moral, and ethical choice on November 4th. Otherwise, I am afraid we are in for some really scary times! So - USE YOUR BRAIN - VOTE MCCAIN!
(No need to post a negative comment on the above because I will just delete it. That is what you can do when you have your own blog!)
May God bless our country on November 4th and always!

You go girl! I love everything you have said. You should send an editorial to the paper and let everyone see it. The pix were adorable. It was so good to see something on here. I know all you young people are so busy but us old people sure do enjoy these things. Keep up the good work.

Go McCain!
I'm not real popular with my coworkers because I am a republican and they are mostly all democrats. UAW you know. By the way Liam looks in that picture with Palin I think he's a democrat. Just kidding. It looks like you guys all enjoyed the rally. I like the guys with the painted chests. Just a thought, but you all had enough in your party to paint PALIN. Maybe next time, huh?
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I am so jealous!!! PLEASE send me a sticker or something!!!!!!!
Love-

I love it!! I really like Sarah Palin too! I loved Liam's autographed shirt. This is something for the baby book! I agree with you about the health care situation. Just ask some Canadians what this kind of health care is like, they know firsthand. If we do have to pay some taxes on our health insurance under McCain, it would be great compared to what Obama has planned. I pray that everyone takes a good hard look at what could happen should the Democrats win!You go Brooke! I'm glad to see young people realize that their vote really does count. Our whole family is for McCain..is it a Smith thing?? Oh, I forgot, it's the brains for McCain!Ha!

Love the pics of Liam and Sarah. We too are big fans of Palin. We are hoping some how the GOP can pull it out, but it will not be easy. Glad you finally! posted, we were getting worried about the poor little guy.
What a time to remember for your entire family! How exciting that must have been. Loved your shirts, especially little Liam's...very clever! I'm sure you would agree, but I can't even stand to hear Obama talk anymore. I like to think people would be smart enough to see through him and his campaign. GO MACAIN!
