We did our part...

Even though I am extremely sick to my stomach and have already shed a few tears over the outcome of the election, I thought I would post on Liam's first presidential election day. I am so disappointed in Americans. It is such a shame that BO snowed everyone over. I would like to follow some of his supporters and see how happy they are at the end of his term. We are in for some VERY scary times. Get ready because there will be many people, myself included, that will not support our president. I am glad that for this moment, I have the freedom to say these things. Before too long those freedoms may be taken away! May God bless America during this difficult time!

Liam getting ready to go to the voting booth with Mommy! I was quick, I simply hit the republican key!

After returning home from voting..... Liam was excited about voting for John and Sarah!

Wow... voting is exhausting!

We were interviewed by The Star Press while we were waiting in line to vote. Here is a link to the article - it is titled - "I'm voting for Trig's Mom". (not everything is accurate, but at least it is close)http://www.thestarpress.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=200881104004

It has been FOREVER!!!!

Okay Okay... I am horrible. I have been SO extremely busy with returning to work that I have not updated in forever. When I have free-time for the computer, I am usually doing spreadsheets for work. I have MANY MANY updates, which I will do soon, but for now I wanted to do this post!

(by the way, our beautiful baby is 8 months old today)

McCain/Palin

We had the wonderful opportunity to go to the Sarah Palin Country First Rally in Noblesville, IN at Verizon Wireless on Friday night. Mom, Dad, Liam and I headed down early to secure our seats. First off, tickets were nearly impossible to get, but I managed my way into some and Dad ended up with VIP tickets for all of us! Our seats were great. We were in the pavilion, which was great! Tim barely made it in, but we were thankful that FINALLY he made it - right before Sarah's speech! Liam was a very good baby all day and handled all of it well until the end.
Now for the big stuff...... When Sarah was almost finished with her speech, Tim, Liam, and I headed down towards the stage. We were able to get down right in front, thanks to one of the campaign workers! After we had been standing down there for awhile and right before Sarah came over to us, Liam decided he was starving and wanted to leave, which you will notice in the photos. Liam had a shirt on that said, "My Mom is voting for Trig's Mom". In case you don't know, Trig is Sarah's baby! Sarah spotted Liam in his shirt and said she HAD to see him. She immediately grabbed him, loved him, handed him to her assistant so she could sign his shirt, kissed him and handed him back. We were SO excited! Going back to our seat to meet up with Grammie and Grandpa was a nightmare through the crowd, but we managed. This will truly be something we will always remember and it is great to have these memories for Liam. Obviously the day Liam was born was the best day of my life, and my wedding the second, but this was definitely the third!

Sarah did a great job speaking and even though I loved her before, this completely solidified it for all of us. She is so genuine and is such a "normal' person. I truly hope they pull it off on November 4th.

Because this is MY blog I feel like I can make the following comments:

I am SO scared and have been a nervous wreck about this election. It is almost encompassing my life! For the life of me, I can not understand how someone could vote for Obama. He is nothing but a liar and a hypocrite. I do not understand how people can vote for someone who believes in socialism and likes big government. Why do we want the government controlling our lives? The next thing you know we will be getting rice rations! It is nuts. Obviously I talk to MANY MANY people with regards to health care. I am telling you people, if we go to socialized medicine, we are in BIG trouble. You will be told what medicine you have to be on, what doctor you have to see, when you go to the doctor, and oh by the way - if you cut your finger off and need to go the hospital and the hospital has taken its maximum for the day - you are OUT OF LUCK!!!! Scary - huh!!! I might be being a little radical, but it could happen. Oh and if you don't think the health care thing is a big deal, let me say something about murder, I mean abortion... "that one" has voted numerous times that if an abortion goes wrong and the baby survives, it is okay to go ahead and kill the poor innocent baby! Is this REALLY the person we want leading our country! I don't think so. If I had to vote on one issue alone, it is always abortion. As I sit here and watch my precious blessing sleep, I can't imagine anyone thinking that killing a baby is okay. Our society is so sick! I really could go on and on, but the bottom line is that he can not be trusted. I know that NO politician should be trusted, but there are too many unknowns about Obama. I spent some time at the republican headquarters the other day and it was amazing some of the stories I heard. For instance, they are not completely sure that Obama is even a US citizen. More to come on this in a few weeks! Some of the things would scare people to death. I am certainly not saying that McCain is perfect, but I know for a fact that he is the better choice of the two. There have been many doubts about Palin. However, she is far more qualified than Obama. Obama has never even ran a lemonade stand. I love the ad that says any crisis would be Obama's first crisis. Palin has ran a business, city, and a state. Plus, she has the highest approval rating (80%) than any other person in history!

I hope that we all make the most conservative, moral, and ethical choice on November 4th. Otherwise, I am afraid we are in for some really scary times! So - USE YOUR BRAIN - VOTE MCCAIN!

(No need to post a negative comment on the above because I will just delete it. That is what you can do when you have your own blog!)
May God bless our country on November 4th and always!

WOW - Lucas Oil Stadium!!!

On Saturday, August 16th we headed to the new home of the Colts - Lucas Oil Stadium. We were lucky enough to get tickets, which sold out in 20 minutes. (thanks to Mommy still being on maternity leave when they gave them away) It was Dad/Grandpa's birthday, so we made a fun day out of it! On Friday nights news, they were talking about how there were to be 200,000 people downtown Indy and parking would be a major problem. So.... we decided to leave home early. We arrived downtown, finally found a good parking space and headed to Weber Grill for Dad/Grandpa's birthday dinner, which we all enjoyed. After dinner, we walked and walked to the new Stadium. It took our breath away the moment we walked in the door. It is BEAUTIFUL. We were able to meet the owners of Lucas Oil.... Forrest and Charlotte Lucas. They were very nice and wished Dad/Grandpa a happy birthday. They signed the Lucas Oil Map for us and loved Liam. In fact, EVERYONE loved Liam. People we didn't even know were taking his picture when he was on the turf! Even though he is mine, I can honestly say he looked adorable in his head to toe Colts gear! We probably had 100 people (no kidding) ask us where we got his Colts shoes - the Colts Pro Shop. Anyway, we were able to see a lot of the stadium. We walked by the suites, colts locker room, and went in the visitors locker room. It was pretty cool. After we left the stadium, we went outside and searched for Liam's brick. His birth gift from Great Uncle Tim, Great Aunt Sharon, Laura and Hannah. We had no idea where it would be, but we kept looking and looking. Finally when we gave up and decided to head home, Dad/Grandpa spotted it. So, we sat Liam down and took several pictures. We loved the brick and are so glad they got it for Liam. It will be something he will always treasure. We are going to try to take him every year and get his picture beside it. Thanks again - Great Uncle Tim, Great Aunt Sharon, Laura, and Hannah. It is awesome!

We headed home - all of us exhausted and Tim with an injured foot. (which he ended up going to the doctor and we are still waiting on the x-ray results)

Happy 57th Birthday Dad/Grandpa! We love you and hope you had a wonderful Birthday!
